Batemans Bay is further down South of White sand beaches in Shoal Haven region. It is approximately a 4 hour drive from Sydney. The Batemans Bay region is again littered with mini beaches through out, some are absolutely calm suitable for very young children and some challenging enough for surfers. Boating, diving, windsurfing and of course both body and board surfing all find their respective paradises in this region. Batemans Bay is a beautiful union of Pacific Ocean, Clyde River, lakes and several national parks.

If you love sea food, you will love it here. Many eateries offer seafood as fresh as it can get all locally caught. The Clyde River oysters are one of the best in the world. You can also take relaxing boat rides down the Clyde River and watch sleepy little towns along the way.
